"The law is hars but it is the law" this is the motto that inspired one portuguese university tradition - praxe. Freshmen students commit to do everything that the senior students tell them to - eat garlic, do push ups, lay in the mud or simulate sexual acts. João experienced praxe himself from both sides - as a freshmen and as a senior student. He tells me which crazy challenges he had to go through and how it made him feel. Praxe sparks a huge controversy as there are some cases when students died during its practice.
