Petřín is a popular recreation area for tourists who visit Prague and Petřín lookout tower is one of Prague's most famous dominant. Petřín is a hill in the center of Prague and it rises 327 m above the sea level. The hill is mostly covered with romantic parks. The uphill journey to Petřín takes about half an hour on foot. Or you can take a funicular, which has three stops and is 510.4 meters long. Petřín funicular transported nearly 2 million passengers in 2014. It runs daily from 9 am to approximately 23:30, the interval changes from 10 to 20 minutes according to the daily and annual season. Every year, usually in April and September, the service is suspended for several weeks due to regular revisions.
