The fourth episode of the Eco-Friendly Sports Podcast is narrated by Tugba Can and Huma Ulgen from Nature Conservation Centre in Turkey. Episode explains misconceptions about eco-friendly sports. Tugba and Huma also talk about global impact of sports and environmental problems we face today. Moreover, benefits of eco-friendly sports are introduced. This episode also presents a perfect opportunity for NGOs to learn how to involve physical activities in their workshops and events.
On our podcast, each time we talk about the different perspectives of eco-friendly sports. “Eco-Friendly Sports” is a project that aims to promote sports and physical activities that not only contribute to better health but also have a positive impact on the environment. The Eco-friendly sports project has been co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. The project has started in January 2020 and includes 8 organizations from 8 different countries: ADEL Slovakia, Innovative education center from Austria, Bulgarian sports development association from Bulgaria, Budapest Association for International Sports from Hungary, Sport Club CHAÑE from Spain, Doğa Koruma Merkezi from Turkey, Check In Association from Portugal and Se Poate Association from Romania.
